Overview
To lead and manage the Finance & Accounts function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective financial planning, cost control, and strategic financial support to management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy of books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and MIS reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, and other local laws.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors; ensure timely completion of audits.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, filings, and assessments.
- Handle tax planning to optimize tax liabilities within legal frameworks.
- Manage cash flows, working capital, and fund utilization.
- Oversee banking operations, credit facilities, and negotiations with banks/financial institutions.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and statutory authorities.
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Analyze product/service profitability and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Set performance goals and ensure effective delegation of responsibilities.
- Support management in strategic planning, investments, mergers, or expansion activities.
- Evaluate financial feasibility of projects and prepare business cases.
- Ensure financial risk management and compliance with corporate governance standards.
