Job Description

The Head of Commercial - Personal Care:

Commercial & Operational Excellence:

  • Lead and grow the UK business
  • Refine commercial strategy in cooperation with European Global headquarters
  • P&L responsibility, prepare and manage yearly sales and marketing budgets and action plans.
  • Support the Head of sales in the yearly negotiations and strategy plans with key accounts
  • Develop and implement strong customer and consumer marketing programs together with the Marketing Manager
  • Provide leadership and vision to the UK organisation

Strategic Leadership and Innovation:

  • Set and communicate a clear strategic vision for the UK business, aligning local objectives with global company goals.
  • Develop, execute, and regularly review the UK business strategy, ensuring adaptability to market changes and alignment with long-term growth ambitions.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, encouraging the development and implementation of new ideas, products, and processes that enhance business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify market trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions, leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and customer insights.
  • Promote a proactive approach to identifying and closing skill gaps related to innovation and strategic thinking within the UK team.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing leadership.
  • Proven track record developing and executing business strategies that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
  • Background in Personal Care / Health & Beauty.
  • An entrepreneurial, driven leader, who would thrive in a rapidly growing, market leading SME.
  • Strong experience in managing a team, act as a team builder and someone who leads by example.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead innovation initiatives, from ideation through to implementation, within a commercial environment.
  • Proven track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and creative problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
  • Commutable to a South West England HQ 2 - 3 days per week.
