Overview

As part of our Food, Beverage and Consumer Goods team, you’ll help our customers connect business processes and leverage data‑driven technology to improve visibility, agility and responsiveness. As the Head of Business Consulting EMEA you will be part of TELUS Consumer Goods’ Global Services Team to ensure the optimal delivery of EMEA projects. You will ensure that the Business Consulting team delivers a professional, best‑in‑class service to our clients and that the team grows in line with the overall business. This is a client‑facing role that involves projects from initiation to completion – requirement scoping, solution design, configuration, documentation, best‑practice adoption, UAT support, go‑live and hand‑over to support.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver large, complex projects or multi‑market programs, ensuring high‑quality outcomes that meet client business needs.
  • Line‑manage and mentor a small team of Business Consultants within the EMEA Professional Services team, supporting their growth, development and performance.
  • Provide expert business consultancy across consumer goods clients, leveraging deep understanding of commercial and financial processes to influence best‑practice adoption.
  • Run discovery and configuration workshops, capturing client requirements and documenting design decisions using standard templates.
  • Configure Trade Promotion Management (TPM) modules via the application UI and support technical teams in interface design and testing.
  • Ensure solution quality through internal validation and alignment to agreed designs.
  • Support clients through user acceptance testing (UAT), issue triage and go‑live activities.
  • Deliver “train the trainer” sessions to client super‑users and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their motivations and long‑term goals.
  • Work towards agreed objectives, including team utilisation and growth, project profitability, and successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders within Global Professional Services to enhance overall delivery capability.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of FMCG / consumer goods industry, including commercial and financial practices.
  • Knowledge of requirements gathering, documentation and best‑practice software implementation.
  • Familiarity with Trade Promotion Management / Optimisation tools.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proven ability to lead client workshops, capture requirements and challenge stakeholders using industry expertise.
  • Skilled in documenting requirements, design and configuration decisions.
  • Strong client engagement and relationship‑management skills, with ability to influence and consult at senior levels.
  • Effective at dealing with ambiguity, resolving conflict and reaching pragmatic solutions.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, supporting people development.
  • Organised, proactive and accountable – a completer‑finisher mindset.
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise software solutions, ideally multi‑market / global programs.
  • Experience in client‑facing consulting roles within software, preferably in the FMCG sector.
  • Exposure to project phases including discovery, configuration, testing, training and cut‑over / go‑live.
  • Background in sales operations, demand planning or revenue management is an advantage.
