An ambitious and expanding property consultancy is looking for a Head of Building Surveying to lead, develop, and grow its Building Surveying function. With an office near London Bridge and projects spanning London and the Home Counties, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing team within a collaborative, people-focused environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll oversee a team delivering a full range of professional and project services across both residential and commercial property. Work includes:

• Pre-acquisition & due diligence surveys
• Party Wall
• Dilapidations (landlord & tenant)
• Schedules of Condition & Planned Maintenance
• Defect diagnosis & RCAs
• Contract Administration & Project Management across a diverse portfolio

You’ll also play a key role in shaping the team’s growth, supporting junior surveyors towards chartership, and helping drive further development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow the Building Surveying team
• Deliver high-quality professional and project services across a range of building types
• Act as Party Wall Surveyor and Dilapidations Surveyor
• Prepare Condition Surveys, Planned Maintenance Strategies, RCAs and defect reports
• Oversee CA/PM instructions across residential and commercial schemes
• Track instructions, fees, and identify growth opportunities
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Maintain exceptional standards of communication, accuracy, and client service

• Confident, professional, and comfortable managing client relationships at all levels
