Job description

Head of Asset Management - Inside IR35

The Valuation and Strategic Assets team (VASA) advises the Client on property where there is an opportunity to exploit the underlying value of the asset either through a third party letting, disposal or acquisition, leading to a capital, revenue, or social-value benefit, ensuring the best use of our assets to deliver the borough outcomes. VASA leads and co‑ordinates the development and delivery of the Client’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and the Client’s corporate vision for its property assets.

Main purpose of the post :

The purpose of the valuation and strategic assets department is to advise the Client specifically on opportunities to exploit the underlying value of property assets either through a third party letting, disposal or acquisition, leading to a direct capital, revenue, or social‑value benefit.

Accountable for the development and delivery of property and asset programmes of work, ensuring that the client is making the best use of its asset base in the delivery of its outcomes, this role is to ensure the provision of high‑quality advice to the client, Cabinet Executive and Senior Management Team on matters pertaining to property and assets of the authority.
