A leading medical devices company is seeking a Head of Acute Woundcare Sales to drive sales for a new haemostatic product range across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in medical device sales, particularly within the wound care sector. This role requires significant travel and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. A valid UK driving license and the right to work in the UK are essential.

Head of Acute Woundcare Sales, Medical Devices

Location: Field-based (UK-wide) with 2 days/week onsite at HQ, Coventry

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reporting to: Head of Global Business Development

The Role
  • Lead and drive sales and business development of a new haemostatic (wound care) product range.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across NHS trusts, the armed forces, and other public sector bodies, VMD, veterinary health companies (UK based and international).
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers, procurement teams, and clinical stakeholders. Work to develop new revenue streams with existing client bases for haemostatic technology.
  • Deliver product presentations, training, and demonstrations to clients.
  • Attend relevant industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Ensure all sales activities are compliant with ISO 13485 and relevant regulatory frameworks.
The Person
  • Proven extensive track record in medical device sales, ideally in a business development or account management capacity within the wound care sector (preferably haemostatic technology).
  • Experience selling into managed services: NHS, public sector, MOD, or similar, both UK based and international.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and travel across the UK/internationally as required.
  • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and a hands‑on approach.
  • Experience selling into veterinary markets is an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Right to work in the UK.
