Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Harlow

Pay Rate: £16.41 per hour

Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-3:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am-1:15pm
  • Contract: 12-week temporary role, with potential to move to a fixed‑term contract for the right candidate

What You'll Do
  • Lead and motivate a grounds maintenance team
  • Liaise with local authority officers, stakeholders, and the public
  • Oversee landscape improvement projects and specialist horticultural areas
  • Maintain shrubs, hedges, trees, and ornamental planting
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, plant, and equipment safely
  • Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
What We're Looking For
  • Strong horticultural knowledge and hands‑on experience
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • PA1 & PA6 chemical application certification
  • IT skills for reporting and record‑keeping
