Job description

The position of Head Chef is available at a popular, high-quality, award-winning community pub which has a great reputation for offering its guests high quality dining. The restaurant serves modern seasonal dishes, using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, along with traditional pub classics.

In this role of Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing and directing the kitchen team, ensuring that they can work to the high standards in place whilst remaining calm under the pressure of cooking for large numbers as well as ensuring that the department is fully prepped for service. Communication with management will be key.

As Head Chef you will have the opportunity to develop the main menu and the daily changing specials blackboard

Requirements:

A Head Chef who has a proven track record of working in high volume kitchens where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. Capable of leading a team from the front taking full control of the kitchen to ensure that the customers get the level of cooking and service that they have come to expect at the venue. Good Financial awareness and the ability to achieve a good profit margin is essential for this role.

The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen to get the best out of your team. Must be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is always followed.
