This Head Chef Role is for an exciting new brasserie project opening in early 2015. Our client expects the successful applicant to be "on-site" 2-3 months prior to opening. You will be involved in shaping the business's direction and identity, with a seat at the top table regarding food, staff hiring, training, kitchen design, and fit and finish.

If you've been seeking an opportunity to create an upper mid-market restaurant/brasserie according to your specifications, this is a close chance without the need to buy your own place. Furthermore, if you succeed, the owners have an equity stake in the business for you, triggered by predefined performance and loyalty criteria. Further details will be provided at the interview stage.

The location is a picturesque, friendly village in Northern Ireland, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes by car to Dublin and 40 minutes to Belfast. The project involves revitalizing a prominent but neglected building in the village. The goal is to establish one of Northern Ireland's best affordable destination dining locations—special enough to attract a journey, yet competitive enough for passing trade and impulse diners.

As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for making this vision a reality. It's important that applicants have experience as Head Chef in a successful, imaginative restaurant or brasserie. Experience with new openings is a bonus. While the focus is on creating a contemporary brasserie, experience in more formal dining environments is also valuable. This promises to be one of the most exciting openings of 2015 on the island, and if you have the right experience and ambition, you should apply immediately.
