A historic pub with a boutique hotel is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and create seasonal menus. You will inspire your team while managing all aspects of menu development and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate has experience in quality food service and a passion for culinary creativity. Responsibilities include team leadership, training, and managing kitchen staff. This role offers the opportunity to craft your unique culinary vision in a dynamic environment.
One of the original five Youngs pubs, Brewers Inn is steeped in history. Our pub has been serving up special moments for hundreds of years and above we have a wonderful 16 room boutique hotel. From busy quiz nights, exciting sports-centric weekends to elegant and diverse events spaces the scope to grow here with us is huge. We are at the beginning of an exciting stage of our development and are looking for a dedicated chef to join us on this journey.
We believe every pub should be different. This means that you'll be writing your own recipes that match the food vision of your business using fresh seasonal ingredients. The food vision could be all about showcasing local produce, country pub classics, seafood, small plates and sharers, dry-aged meat - each pub is different and its up to you as head chef to put your own creative stamp on that vision. We work with fresh, seasonal produce, so the menu should constantly evolve to showcase these fantastic ingredients when they are at their best. This role requires someone that can inspire a team, to bring out the potential and lead by example whilst being able to develop, cost and produce fresh seasonal menus for the variety of revenue streams within the business.
