Belmont Recruitment is on the lookout for a motivated and adaptable Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join a leading Substance Misuse Addiction Recovery Service in Bradford. If you're passionate about making a real difference in people's lives, this one's for you!

Hourly Rate: £15 | Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri (37.5 hours) | Contract: 6+ months

You’ll be working in an incredibly rewarding field, alongside some amazing colleagues and service users who will inspire you every day. Reporting to our Lead Nurse, you’ll be helping with a variety of healthcare interventions, including:

  • Assisting the clinical team with healthcare assessments and treatments
  • Supporting harm reduction efforts (offering advice and info on substance misuse)
  • Helping with detoxification and general health assessments
  • Monitoring and facilitating community detox programs
  • Handling BBV screenings and immunisations
  • Referring service users to other services based on their health and well-being needs
What you’ll need:

Ideally, you’ll be confident with venepuncture, observations, ECGs, and health promotion. While BLS (Basic Life Support) training is a plus, it’s not essential. We can help you get up to speed if needed!
