An organization dedicated to child welfare is seeking a Senior Practitioner for a part-time role focused on interventions for young people displaying harmful sexual behaviour. The position involves collaboration with a Specialist Clinical Psychologist, contributing to consultations, and delivering training. In 2017 Norfolk and Waveney CCGs commissioned Norfolk County Council, Childrens Services and Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT) to develop and expand our response to children and young people displaying harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). The HSB team is now recruiting to the role of Senior Practitioner to support the HSB Specialists and the Clinical Psychologist within the team.
Working closely with a Specialist Clinical Psychologist and the HSB Specialists, the Senior Practitioner will be responsible for contributing to the HSB consultation service for other agencies within Norfolk and Waveney, advising professionals on cases where HSB is being displayed, and planning/delivering bespoke HSB training to Norfolk professionals. You will also carry out HSB assessments and deliver interventions directly to young people displaying HSB and their parents or carers and contribute to partner agencies assessments and/or intervention plans.
You will have experience and knowledge of working with children and young people who have displayed HSB, including experience of delivering recognised models of assessment and intervention, together with an understanding of working in a multiagency team.
The HSB Senior Practitioner will be based in County Hall, with frequent travel around Norfolk and Waveney to fulfil the role. Your role will be line managed within the HSB Team by one of the HSB Specialists.
