Hardy Plant Supervisor

Location: Gloucestershire

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (alternate weekends)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Manager in leading, mentoring, and motivating the hardy plant team.
  • Maintain and refresh hardy plant displays for maximum seasonal impact.
  • Oversee stock levels and ensure consistent quality and availability.
  • Conduct sales analysis, produce reports, and take action based on findings.
  • Provide knowledgeable, friendly advice to customers.
About You
  • Strong knowledge of hardy plants, including perennials, shrubs, and trees.
  • Retail experience, ideally in a garden centre or similar environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity – or capability to step up.
  • A keen commercial eye and an ability to analyse data, then making targeted improvements/decisions based on that data.
  • Hands‑on, proactive approach to daily operations and merchandising.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering great service.
