About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Hard Services Manager to take ownership of engineering and technical service delivery on a critical site in West Yorkshire. Working with a world-leading facilities management provider, this role is pivotal in ensuring reliability, compliance, and resilience across essential building services in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management and delivery of hard services, including planned and reactive maintenance, across all critical engineering systems.
  • Oversee a team of M&E engineers and specialist contractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, fostering strong relationships and ensuring all KPIs and SLAs are met.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and best practice across all technical services, with a strong focus on critical systems uptime and resilience.
  • Drive continuous improvement in asset performance, energy efficiency, and service delivery.
  • Manage budgets, reporting, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Support risk management, business continuity, and emergency response planning.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record in managing hard services operations on a critical or high-dependency site (e.g., healthcare, data centre, defence, or similar).
  • Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing engineering teams and supply chain partners.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and FM governance.
  • Client-focused with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering discipline, plus IOSH/NEBOSH preferred).
