Job summary

GTG Training offers an Apprentice Auto Technician role at Halfords Autocentre Warwick. You’ll work with experienced technicians learning inspection, servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a wide range of vehicles.

Training towards Level 2 Autocare, with workplace safety and electrical systems covered. Entry requires GCSE Maths & English (Grade 5+). 30 days holiday plus benefits and career opportunities with GTG and Halfords.

Apprentice Auto Technician Halfords Autocentre Warwick

Join Halfords as an Apprentice Auto Technician and gain hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

About The Role

Based in our Warwick Autocentre, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles. No two days are the same, with exposure to modern technologies, diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs.

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the motor industry.

Working Hours

• 5-day working week
• 40 hours (under 18s) / 44 hours (18+)
• Autocentre opening hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Training & Qualifications

You'll work towards:

• Level 2 Autocare

Training includes workplace safety, vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and electrical systems, supported by dedicated GTG and Halfords mentors.

Entry Requirements

• GCSE Level 5 or above or equivalent in Maths and English (or equivalent)
