Job summary

GTG Training is recruiting an Apprentice Auto Technician for Halfords Autocentre Coventry. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

You’ll train at the Coventry Autocentre, learning to inspect, service, diagnose and repair vehicles under experienced supervision, with exposure to modern diagnostics and equipment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 5 or equivalent.
• Strong interest in building a career in the motor industry.
• Enthusiastic, hands-on learner with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.
• Work alongside experienced technicians at Coventry Autocentre.
• Participate in training and qualifications through GTG.

About The Role

Based in our Coventry Autocentre, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles. No two days are the same, with exposure to modern technologies, diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs.

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the motor industry.

Working Hours

• 5-day working week
• 40 hours (under 18s) / 44 hours (18+)
• Autocentre opening hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Training & Qualifications

You'll work towards:

• Level 2 Autocare

Entry Requirements

• GCSE Level 5 or above or equivalent in Maths and English (or equivalent)
