Job summary

GTG Training Limited is offering an Apprentice Auto Technician role at the Congleton Autocentre. You will learn to inspect, service, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles under the guidance of seasoned technicians, with exposure to modern diagnostics and electrical systems.

This 5-day week apprenticeship includes training and qualifications through GTG, plus career opportunities with one of the UK’s leading automotive employers.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (minimum grade 5) or equivalent.
• Interest in motor industry and career in automotive.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Learn to inspect, service, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.
• Work with experienced technicians and gain hands-on experience.
• Develop problem-solving and technical skills through training.

Join Halfords as an Apprentice Auto Technician and gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

About the Role

Based in our Congleton Autocentre, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles. No two days are the same, with exposure to modern technologies, diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs.

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the motor industry.

Working Hours

5-day working week

40 hours (under 18s) / 44 hours (18+)

Autocentre opening hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Training & Qualifications

You’ll work towards:

Training includes workplace safety, vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and electrical systems, supported by dedicated GTG and Halfords mentors.

Entry Requirements

Qualifications

• GCSE Level 5 or above or equivalent in Maths and English(or equivalent)
