Job summary

GTG Training Limited, in partnership with Halfords, is seeking an Apprentice Auto Technician at our Evesham Autocentre. You will work with experienced technicians to inspect, service, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles while gaining a recognised qualification.

The role involves learning through GTG and Halfords mentors, with a 5-day week and hours of 8:00am–6:00pm. Enthusiasm, problem-solving and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• GCSE Level 5 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Passion for vehicles and mechanical work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.
• Work alongside experienced technicians and learn through hands-on experience.
• Gain exposure to diagnostics and modern vehicle technologies.

Join Halfords as an Apprentice Auto Technician and gain hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

About the Role

Based in our Evesham Autocentre, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles. No two days are the same, with exposure to modern technologies, diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs.

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the motor industry.

Working Hours

5-day working week

40 hours (under 18s) / 44 hours (18+)

Autocentre opening hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Training & Qualifications

You'll work towards:

Training includes workplace safety, vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and electrical systems, supported by dedicated GTG and Halfords mentors.
