Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Nuneaton is seeking an Apprentice Auto Technician to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

You'll learn to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles alongside experienced technicians. Training includes Level 2 Autocare and ongoing mentorship, with opportunities to work on various vehicles across our autcentre.

Qualifications

• GCSE Level 5+ in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Passion for vehicles and mechanical work.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Learn to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.
• Work alongside experienced technicians and mentors at Halfords Autocentre Nuneaton.
• Support with safety practices and garage procedures while training toward Level 2 Autocare.

Apprentice Auto Technician Halfords Autocentre Nuneaton

Join Halfords as an Apprentice Auto Technician and gain hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

About The Role

Based in our Nuneaton Autocentre, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles. No two days are the same, with exposure to modern technologies, diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs.

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the motor industry.

Working Hours

• 5‑day working week
• 40 hours (under 18s) / 44 hours (18+)
• Autocentre opening hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Training & Qualifications

You’ll work towards:

• Level 2 Autocare

Training includes workplace safety, vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and electrical systems, supported by dedicated GTG and Halfords mentors.

Qualifications

Entry Requirements

• GCSE Level 5 or above or equivalent in Maths and English (or equivalent)
