Job summary

GTG Training Limited in Coventry is recruiting an Apprentice Auto Technician at Halfords Autocentre. You will work alongside experienced technicians to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, gaining hands-on experience and a recognised qualification.

You'll be supported by GTG and Halfords mentors, with structured training covering safety, servicing, diagnostics, repairs and electrical systems, plus career progression opportunities within a leading automotive

Qualifications

• GCSE Level 5 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Strong interest in the motor vehicle industry.
• Ability to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced technicians to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Gain hands-on experience with diagnostics and modern technologies.
• Learn through GTG and Halfords mentors toward recognised qualifications.
• Support safety and best practice in the workshop.

Join Halfords as an Apprentice Auto Technician and gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification with GTG Training.

About the Role

Based in our Coventry Autocentre, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles. No two days are the same, with exposure to modern technologies, diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs.

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the motor industry.

Working Hours

5-day working week

40 hours (under 18s) / 44 hours (18+)

Autocentre opening hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Training & Qualifications

You’ll work towards:

Training includes workplace safety, vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and electrical systems, supported by dedicated GTG and Halfords mentors.
