As Group Tax Lead, you will lead global tax operations for Convatec, a FTSE 100 company with businesses in over 100 countries.
This is a pivotal role within our Group Tax function, responsible for managing direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance across the organization.
You will work closely with a team of experienced in‑house tax professionals and external advisors to ensure robust compliance and reporting processes. Beyond operational excellence, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing a future‑focused tax operating model, driving transformation and efficiency across the tax lifecycle.

Oversee and monitor outsourced global compliance processes for corporate income tax across nearly 100 countries.
Support the Group Tax Reporting Manager with tax provisions, prior‑year adjustments, and provide insights to internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Drive transformation across direct and indirect tax operations by :
Stay up to date on global tax laws and regulations, advising business units on potential impacts.
Support the wider tax team on tax strategy, transfer pricing, and ad‑hoc projects.
You are a technically strong tax professional with experience in direct tax and a passion for driving change. You thrive in complex, multinational environments and are eager to broaden your expertise across the full tax lifecycle.
ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent).
Proven experience in an in‑house tax function within a multinational enterprise.
Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect tax and tax accounting.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and cultural awareness.
Ability to build relationships with local finance teams, advisors, and authorities.
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future implications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete data.
Skilled at managing external advisors and making informed decisions.
Hands‑on approach and willingness to lead by example.
