Job description
Group Reporting Accountant

We are working with a business going through an exciting transformation within its Finance function. As part of this journey, they are recruiting a newly created Group Reporting Accountant role to strengthen reporting capability, improve the accuracy of financial information and drive system and process enhancements across the group.

This is a hands‑on reporting accountant role, but it is not a traditional BAU position. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with systems, data and automation, and who is motivated by improving how finance operates. You will be confident using Excel at an advanced level and excited by tools such as Power BI to deliver clearer, more insightful reporting.

The role will involve:
  • Improving the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the international group
  • Developing and enhancing financial and non‑financial reporting, including dashboards and KPIs
  • Acting as a super‑user for finance systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and better use of technology
  • Supporting the delivery of statutory reporting, audits and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Contributing to tax reporting and supporting wider finance transformation initiatives
  • Working closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider business, including training and enabling teams to improve reporting inputs
The successful candidate will likely have:
  • A strong background in group or statutory reporting
  • Excellent Excel skills and a genuine interest in reporting tools, systems and automation
  • Experience or exposure to Power BI or similar reporting platforms
  • A proactive mindset, comfortable working in a fast‑paced, change‑led environment
  • The confidence to challenge, suggest improvements and take ownership of reporting processes
What’s on offer:
  • A high‑impact role within a finance team undergoing genuine transformation
  • Hybrid working with 1–2 days per week in the Wetherby office
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and excellent career development opportunities
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture where ideas are encouraged and implemented
  • A comprehensive benefits package including enhanced leave, private medical insurance and pension contribution.
