A leading further education institution is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement at its Hackney Campus. The successful candidate will support the Group Director of Finance ensuring compliance with procurement standards and procedures. You will advise managers on policies and assist in issuing tenders. Candidates should have CIPS qualifications or equivalent experience, and the ability to work under pressure. This role offers opportunities for career advancement and a supportive work environment.
We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to support the Group Director of Finance to provide a centralised procurement service to the New City College Group ensuring proper standards of probity and value for money. You will be accountable for ensuring all procurement action carried out by the College Group conforms to the college financial regulations and public procurement procedures.
This role will be based at our Hackney Campus but travel to other sites will be required.
You will inform and advise managers and other college staff as required on procurement policies and procedures, sources of supply and provide assistance and support to all managers in issuing invitations to tender via E‑tendering portal, dealing with clarifications, evaluate and report on tenders returned, sending successful / un‑successful notification letters.
CIPS qualified or proven experience in a similar role and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
