Job summary

A leading UK water company is looking for a Groundwater Resources Manager to shape the long-term management of groundwater resources. You will lead a team, provide technical direction, and ensure alignment with environmental goals. A solid hydrogeology background is essential, along with leadership experience. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with groundwater modelling tools and data interpretation.
  • Experience managing or mentoring technical staff, setting clear priorities.
  • Confidence to interpret incomplete datasets and present insights to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for groundwater resource management across the region.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing technical team.
  • Provide senior technical input into strategic documents.
  • Oversee analysis of key datasets to inform operational decisions.
  • Identify optimisation opportunities to reduce environmental risks.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration to translate insights into actions.

Skills

Technical background in hydrogeology
Strong analytical and communication skills

Education

Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
Postgraduate qualification in Hydrogeology
