Our Primary Graduate Teaching Programme offers a paid, supportive, and hands‑on route into education. Tradewind are working in partnership with a large Stoke-on-Trent trust, this programme allows you to experience real classroom life before committing to full teacher training.

The role

You will begin as a Primary Teaching Assistant, working closely with teachers to support children's learning and classroom routines. Your role will include:

  • Supporting phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities
  • Leading small group interventions and providing 1:1 support
  • Assisting with behaviour management and creating a positive learning environment
  • Helping with classroom organisation and day-to-day tasks
  • Gradually delivering parts of lessons planned by the class teacher as your confidence grows

Throughout the year, you'll be coached and mentored by experienced staff, developing essential primary teaching skills at a manageable pace.
