A leading education organization is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant in Gateshead. This role is ideal for recent graduates who want to gain valuable experience in the education sector while supporting children in Year 1 and Year 2. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils stay focused and engaged. Full support will be provided by school staff. This position is paid weekly and offers the chance to make a positive impact on students' learning.

This position is in a Gateshead primary school with approximately 390 pupils. Inclusion and wellbeing are at the heart of the school’s ethos, and graduates are supported to develop their skills gradually and confidently.
You’ll support learning across Key Stage 1, gaining experience that’s highly valued by future employers and training providers.
Supporting children in Year 1 and Year 2
Providing 1:1 and small-group support, including SEND
Helping pupils stay focused and engaged
Gaining insight into lesson delivery and classroom management
Building relationships with pupils and staff
A recent graduate (any subject welcome)
Interested in teaching, psychology or education
Patient, reliable and keen to learn
Looking for paid school-based experience
Paid weekly, long-term role
Full support from school staff and your consultant
Well connected by public transport across Gateshead and into Newcastle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
