Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Slough - ASAP Start

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in an inclusive school environment before pursuing a career in education, psychology, or child development?

An outstanding school in Slough is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team in September. Responsibilities
  • Support children with a variety of special educational needs in both 1:1 and group settings
  • Help implement personalised learning plans designed by the class teacher and SENCo
  • Encourage and promote inclusion and independence among pupils
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet each student's individual needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
Qualifications
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic graduate with a genuine interest in SEN
  • A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible attitude
  • Previous experience with children or young people (formal or informal) is beneficial but not essential
