Mansfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Graduate Planning Officer to join the team based in Mansfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,403 - £28,142 per annum.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping your local area? Join our Development Management team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Council's priorities and service plan.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Development Management team.
  • Carry out site visits, surveys, and studies to support planning decisions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, strategies, and plans produced by the team.
  • Support public consultation events, including preparing consultation materials and responding to enquiries from residents and stakeholders.
  • Produce maps, photographic evidence, reports, and PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Undertake technical tasks such as validating, registering, and processing planning applications, appeals, and Tree Preservation Orders.
