Job summary

A leading educational support agency seeks a Mental Health Assistant/Teaching Assistant in Reading. This full-time role provides the opportunity to support children with Social and Emotional Mental Health issues, working alongside experienced therapists and psychologists. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology and a passion for helping children with complex needs. The position offers an ASAP start and competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology preferred.
  • Experience with SEN children or adults is desirable but not essential.
  • Open-minded and up for a challenge.

Responsibilities

  • Support children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs.
  • Work alongside trained therapists and psychologists.
  • Provide consistent, ongoing support to SEN children.

Skills

Understanding of complex needs

Education
