Job summary

A bespoke plastic products manufacturer in Southampton is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate should hold a BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering and possess strong hands-on skills with machinery. Responsibilities include working on projects from concept to completion, utilizing 3D CAD software, and liaising with manufacturing providers. This permanent role offers a salary between £25,000 and £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years or more industry experience required.
• Ability to carry out mechanical calculations is essential.
• Must be able to work well individually as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work within the current engineering team with other Engineers.
• See through projects from concept through to completion.
• Be hands-on with machinery and CNC programming.

Skills

Strong hands-on skills with machinery and production

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Proficiency with 3D CAD software

Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office

Education

BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
