Overview

Graduate Classroom Assistant – Paddington Location: Central West London (Paddington, near Little Venice & Hyde Park) Pay: £500–£550 per week Start: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term, Term-Time Only

Role Overview

Support teachers in EYFS, KS1, or KS2 and assist pupils with varying needs (SEND, EAL, speech and language). Make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with lessons and classroom routines
  • Lead small-group or 1:1 sessions in literacy, phonics, or numeracy
  • Support pupils with special educational needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and self-confidence
  • Prepare and adapt classroom resources
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
Candidate Profile
  • Graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher (preferably in Psychology, English, or Education)
  • Energetic, empathetic, and patient with children
  • Experience supporting children (tutoring, mentoring, playwork, etc.)
  • Interested in teaching, educational psychology, or child development
  • Confident team player with strong communication skills
