A healthcare organization in Leicester is seeking a GPTPD to enhance the education of trainees in GP settings. The role includes managing educational programs, recruiting trainees, and ensuring quality rotations. The ideal candidate should have experience in education management and willingness to travel across the East Midlands. This position is part-time, with a contract until October 2026 and requires some in-person work.
The TPD role involves working with trainees and local educators to achieve the best outcomes for their trainees. It does involve some teaching and pastoral work, but is largely about managing education, including recruitment, rotations and assessment, working with other educators and staff in the GP School team. We are looking to recruit to a GPTPD role on 2 sessions per week until 31 October 2026. Although based in the local programme there will be regular travel around the East Midlands. Remuneration will be at GP01 point of national GP educator pay scale.
The NHS England board has set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all. This will inform the detailed design work and we will achieve this purpose by enabling local systems and providers to improve health, making the NHS a great place to work, and ensuring the healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care. We will also optimise the use of digital technology, research, and innovation, and deliver value for money.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
