A GMP Cleaning Team Leader vacancy has arisen within our Cleanroom Cleaning department at the site of our customer Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Job Title: GMP Cleaning Team Leader

Job Type: Part Time

Hours of Work: Every Monday from 13:30 to 17:30 / First Monday of each month 09:00 to 13:00 (additional hours)

Pay: £13.80 per hour

Job Introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team working in GMP environments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied and providing support to the team members and liaising with the customer.

Primary Responsibilities

Cleaning, washing walls, sweeping, emptying of litter bins, cleaning of equipment as required to keep a high audit standard at all times.

• Produce GDP (Good Document Practice) Compliant reports and documentation.
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
• Ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs.
• Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to the customer.
• Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to the customer.
• Attend training sessions appertaining to post.
• Carry out any duties as required.
• Liaise with other members of the cleaning team, other staff, and customers.
• All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures applicable to their role. Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood, and responsibilities are defined.

Essential

• General good health.
• Reasonable standard of fitness as job holder on feet for most of the day.
• Prepared to always wear full uniform.
• Prepared to work to strict timelines in isolated areas and follow stringent dress codes relevant to GMP.
• Prepared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions / procedures.
• Good standard of IT literacy – Microsoft Office

Desirable

• Experience within a similar industry.
• Team worker with a flexible approach.
• Knowledge of COSHH.
• An understanding of GMP and quality systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Machinery skills
• Previous supervisory/team leader experience

Training and support will be provided, and the ideal candidate must be willing to attend courses/sessions as and when offered to aid continuous improvement.
