Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Yard Engineer for a busy power equipment depot in Warmley, England. The successful candidate will prepare, test, and repair generator sets, while adhering to safety standards. Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are required, along with good fault-finding skills. Qualifications

  • Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant.
  • Completed apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience servicing diesel generators or maintaining plant machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and service generators for the hire fleet.
  • Repair generators on-site.
  • Assist with loading/unloading equipment in the yard.
  • Drive forklifts in the yard.
  • Deliver and collect generators using company vehicles.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.
  • Synchronise generators on site.
  • Maintain safe workspaces and comply with Health & Safety standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
