Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic General Science Teacher to inspire curiosity and a love of learning in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable). You will deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, helping pupils develop both subject knowledge and critical-thinking skills. Beginning October 2025.

Duties
  • Plan, prepare and teach well-structured Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate activities to meet a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, resources and enrichment activities such as clubs or science fairs.
Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences.
  • Recent experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4 (A-level experience an advantage).
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills as a General Science Teacher.
  • Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
