Location: Bolton
Contract: Now – March 2026
Systems: EMIS Web & SystmOne (site dependent)
Clinical Template: 25 patient contacts, 40 mins admin, 1 home visit (flexible based on preference)

Job Summary

Our established PCN is seeking a Newly Qualified GP (within 2 years of CCT) to join its collaborative, high‑performing network of practices. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a developing GP to gain broad clinical exposure, strong support, and long‑term stability through ARRS funding.

You will deliver a range of duties outlined in the GMS contract, including consultations, clinical administration, prescribing responsibilities, and continuity of care across PCN sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone consultations for a wide range of clinical presentations
  • Undertake home visits and nursing home reviews as required
  • Manage repeat prescriptions, medication queries, and clinical documentation
  • Screen patients for risk factors, early signs of illness, and chronic disease indicators
  • Lead on clinical decision‑making for undifferentiated and complex cases
  • Request, interpret, and action diagnostic tests, ensuring appropriate follow‑up
  • Make timely referrals to secondary care or other healthcare providers
  • Develop personalised care and treatment plans in line with NICE and local guidance
  • Maintain accurate, high‑standard clinical notes using EMIS or SystmOne
  • Take part in clinical audits, learning events, and practice meetings
  • Prescribe safely and appropriately, following formulary and BNF guidance
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team and wider Federation staff
  • Contribute to PCN and Federation performance indicators and service priorities
About You
  • Newly qualified GP within 2 years of CCT

  • Strong communicator with a commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred care
  • Motivated to contribute to service improvement and local primary care development
