Job description

Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and collaborative leader to take up a permanent General Manager position. The remit for the role:

• Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery
• Operating Theatres
• Peri-Operative Medicine

This post is ideal for someone wanting to build on their existing operational management experience and/or someone who has a clinical leadership background looking to expand their experience. As part of the directorate leadership team, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the safe, high quality and efficient delivery of clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership, as part of the leadership team, across the directorate covering quality, access, finance and people;
• Lead the elective recovery planning and delivery efforts for the imaging modalities with a focus on delivering diagnostic targets and supporting 18 week and diagnostic targets;
• Work closely with Trust-wide operational and clinical colleagues to support the Trust's elective recovery programme as a whole
• To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate Barts Health 'we care' values of welcoming, engaging, collaborative, accountable, respectful and equitable.
