Job description

Here at Retirement Villages, we are growing our team and seeking a General Manager for our Retirement Village in Honiton - Gittisham Hill Park. You will lead a team in a community-focused environment where older people can age well, build friendships, and feel part of a community.

This is a part-time role, working 27.5 hours per week (typically 5.5 hours daily, Monday to Friday). Flexibility is required due to the nature of the business.

Your responsibilities include actively managing relationships with residents and the wider community, ensuring excellent customer experience, driving hospitality standards, maximizing revenue, controlling costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Asset Business Plan and operational delivery plan for the village.
  • Communicate strategies clearly to colleagues, aligning operational plans with RVG's mission, vision, and values.
  • Set operational priorities, analyze performance, and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Lead facilities management plans, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Manage large-scale projects and investments in the village.
  • Provide excellent customer experience and deepen resident relationships.
  • Ensure care and wellbeing programs are engaging and effective.
  • Lead and develop staff, setting performance targets and fostering capability.

Qualifications and Experience:
