Overview

Are you an experienced General Manager looking for their next challenge? Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a General Manager to join our team in Dartford, supporting our customer Sainsbury's. As the General Manager of the site, you will be responsible for all operations through effective performance management, achieving operation delivery performance and adherence to all Company and Customer/Site KPI's while consistently ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and standards.

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00. We do ask for some flexibility due to the seniority of the position.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and priorities continuous improvement efficiency gains, considering operational and commercial requirements/expectations
  • Ensure that revenue, cost and margin meet or exceed agreed budgets and forecasts both in £ and % terms
  • Support contract development to win new business and ensure delivery within agreed timescales, financial targets, KPI's and customers expectation
  • Develop and generate an ongoing business plan for the site's operational performance as it evolves over the years
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • Significant experience in fast moving contract logistics, managing differing sectors
  • Prior experience of managing Trade Union relationships will be advantageous
  • Experience of leading and developing a team and all associated people processes
  • Prior experience within a Grocery environment is advantageous
