Qualifications

Job Title : Gas Service and Maintenance Engineer

Job Type : Full-time Permanent

Location : Site based / Thames Water area

Remuneration : 45000 to 60000 per year dependant on experience

Estimated Start Date : As soon as possible

Background

Established in 1972 Eurograde Plant Limited is a family run business specialising in commercial heating solutions within the water waste industry across the UK. Our work consists of working with commercial steam and biogas boilers gas systems low temperature hot water combustion burners and process heating requirements.

We are seeking a skilled Gas Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the water waste industry. The ideal candidate will be ACS Gas Registered with commercial gas experience and a strong track record in maintaining and servicing a variety of commercial gas equipment. This is a hands‑on client‑facing role with opportunities to work on both new installations and ongoing maintenance projects.

Core Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service commercial gas boilers (100Kw 5 Mw) from various manufactures dual fuel burners low temperature hot water and steam boiler plants booster systems flare stacks and other gas equipment including pressure relief valves (site specific training will be provided)
  • Travel to client sites within the full Thames Water area
  • Execute the installation and maintenance of gas equipment and pipework
  • Collaborate with team members and subcontractors on both new and existing projects
  • Communicate with clients in an efficient and timely manner
  • Create and update written reports and spreadsheets as required
  • Overnight stays on an ad hoc basis as required depending on projects and locations please note there will be an element of flexibility on most jobs for you to decide whether to stay overnight or drive home

This list is not exhaustive and the post-holder will be required to undertake other duties as and when required which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities. However as we are a growing Company we would expect these duties to evolve and change over time.

Skills and Abilities
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the team and clients
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team as required
  • Proficient in IT packages such as Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • Detail oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
Experience and Education
  • The successful applicant must be ACS gas registered holding commercial gas tickets for :
  • Core safety
  • Gas pipework testing and purging
  • Pipework installs and appliancesMust have CSCS basic health and safety
  • Proven experience in maintaining and servicing commercial gas boilers (100Kw 5 Mw) from various manufactures including dual fuel burners low temperature hot water and steam boiler plants booster systems flare stacks and other gas equipment such as pressure relief valves
