Overview

Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for variety, stability, and the chance to work on a wide range of projects? This is a great opportunity to be part of a respected business where your expertise is valued, your development is supported, and no two days are ever the same.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on heating and hot water boilers, package burners, and associated systems (pumps, valves, fans, etc.).
  • Testing and purging gas installation pipework.
  • Installing domestic and commercial boilers and plant room systems using soldered, press fitting, and screwed steel pipework.
  • Providing fault-finding support and wiring for small installations.
  • Working across plumbing, ventilation, and wider plant room maintenance, keeping your role varied and rewarding.
Key Skills
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial plumbing/heating systems.
  • Experience with Natural Gas, LPG, and Oil-fired systems.
  • Someone who enjoys working independently but is also a team player.
  • Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay away (with notice).
Essential Qualifications
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Gas qualifications:
  • Domestic: CCN1, CENWAT, CKHB1, DAH1, HTR1
  • Commercial: CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, CPA1, DAH1, ICPN1, HTR1, TPCP1, CONGLP1PD (LPG Changeover)
  • Plumbing: City & Guilds Level 3 and Unvented Water Regulations (G3).
Nice-to-Have (but not essential)
  • Industrial gas, oil, or plumbing experience.
  • UKATA asbestos training.
  • PASMA (scaffold towers).
  • IPAF (mobile elevated platforms).
