A prominent educational institution in Cambridge is looking for a practical and enthusiastic Gardener to join their Gardens team. The role involves maintaining the College’s gardens and grounds through various tasks such as planting, pruning, and mowing. This full-time position offers a salary of £26,437, and requires a commitment to a hands-on, outdoor job with the potential for growth until the end of June 2026.

We are looking for a practical and enthusiastic individual to join our Gardens team as a Gardener. Reporting to the Head Gardener, you will help maintain the College’s gardens and grounds, working alongside our gardeners on tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, mowing and general upkeep. The role is hands on and physical, with plenty of variety and the chance to work outdoors in an experienced team. Although some gardening experience would be advantageous, it is not essential.
This is a full time, fixed term role (40 hours per week) working Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm (includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch break), until the end of June 2026.
The annual salary for this role is £26,437
