Working with both emerging and established artists, we provide expert advice on 20th Century Masters and art investment.

Our gallery offers an extensive range of contemporary artwork from the UK and beyond, including original oil paintings, collectable limited editions, and sculpture.

We are currently seeking a Gallery Assistant to join our dedicated team and assist in all aspects of running a privately owned gallery with a program of exhibitions. You will be joining a successful and established company that has expansion and growth high on the agenda. We provide platforms to support our team members in various ways, including a dynamic, fun, and inspirational work environment. There are also opportunities for our team members to invest in the very artwork they sell and build their own art collection, as well as a private pension scheme and comprehensive health cover.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively welcome visitors to the gallery and provide an elite yet personable service.
  • Develop relationships with our clients and share your passion for our exclusive collections.
  • Use your personality, knowledge and engaging communication to develop loyalty with clients and build long-term relationships for the Gallery.
  • Keep a keen interest of artist facts and art world knowledge so that you can confidently and fluently talk to clients about our collections.
  • Assist with planning and organising exclusive artist previews and Gallery exhibitions.
  • Recording sales on our systems, and sorting, packing, and shipping artwork.
  • Support the team to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and retail standards within the Gallery.
  • Be familiar with selling systems, cash, and credit procedures.
  • Follow all stock management procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a visitor facing role with exceptional communication skills.
  • A passion, knowledge, and interest in Art.

  • Experience in a sales environment.
  • Confidence in public speaking and gallery tours.
  • A highly self-motivated, organised, flexible and pragmatic approach.
  • A knowledge of the local area, the collections, and exhibitions.
  • You will be able to carry out artwork installations and displays across all floors of our Georgian townhouse.
  • This role is full time, working 5 days over a 7-day working pattern. Flexibility is required to support artist preview events and exhibitions.
