Overview

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Refugee Resettlement Advisor to join our Asylum and Refugee Service. This is a permanent role within one of Scotland's largest and best performing local authorities. The team is registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and Care Inspectorate.

Hours, Working Pattern, Salary, Vacancy
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £52,992 - £57,885 per year
  • Vacancy: Permanent
Responsibilities
  • Manage a wide range of diverse and complex programmes and support a specialist trauma-informed team.
  • Be the first point of contact for guidance and advice internally and across Community Planning Partners.
  • Deliver intensive and specialist housing support based on need; bring an innovative and flexible approach to supporting the team, new arrivals and households across South Lanarkshire.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Hands-on experience as well as strategic and operational understanding of refugee resettlement and integration programmes.
  • Sound knowledge of immigration issues including asylum requirements and No Recourse to Public Funds challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications to provide management support, or willingness to work towards achieving this qualification within 2 years of taking up the post.
  • As this is a registered service, you must be willing to meet any qualification requirements.
