Overview

Furniture Design Technician required by Strachan Furniture Makers Ltd. Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Our aim remains to deliver bespoke: Bedroom, Home Study, Dressing Room, Lounge, Wall Beds, Libraries and Cinema Room fitted furniture that does more than just fit together; our pieces adapt and blend with unique features our clients rightly deserve.

Wishing to build upon our continued success with more new products in 2025/26, we are looking to recruit another Furniture Design Technician to produce design specifications and engineering drawings for production.

The Role

The position requires a technically competent person to:

• Produce and Verify customer CAD plans and perspective drawings of furniture designs. Identify design risk and show creativity in providing solutions.
• Prepare factory-cutting lists/bills of materials using proprietary software.
• Prepare and issue manufacturing drawings to the factory using AutoCAD.
• Provide technical design support to Sales & Customer Service colleagues.
• Possess good administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Have good attention to detail and creative in providing solutions.
