Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience applying functional safety / safety case methodologies in regulated or high-hazard sectors.
• Strong understanding of IEC standards: 61508, 61511, and 61513.
• Ability to justify engineering decisions using risk-based thinking.
• Familiarity with planning and project delivery processes across complex engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear and unambiguous functional safety requirements.
• Deliver innovative engineering solutions to meet defined requirements.
• Produce and check technical reports, calculations, and design basis documentation.
• Support fault identification through HAZOP/HAZID studies.
• Support ALARP workshops and optioneering studies to support risk reduction.
