A welcoming family in Barton Seagrave is seeking a kind and experienced live-in nanny to care for their newborn starting January 2026. You must have at least two years' experience, be a confident driver, and have a Level 3 Childcare qualification if possible. The role offers a gross annual pay of £48,672 with additional overtime for night hours. You'll have your own room and will be part of a friendly team, supporting the family's values in balanced development for the children.
Are you a kind, calm, and experienced nanny who enjoys caring for newborn babies?
A fabulous live‑in nanny position has become available with a friendly family living in Barton Seagrave, near Kettering, Northamptonshire. The role starts in mid‑January 2026, allowing time for a handover with a maternity nurse. You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom and will be warmly welcomed as part of the family.
Mum is a doctor, and while she is on maternity leave, you’ll be working alongside her caring for the new baby, who is due in January 2026. There are also two older children (aged 17 and 15) who require minimal care. Dad is at home and takes care of the house, so it’s important that you enjoy working as part of a team.
The core hours of the role are Monday to Saturday, 07.00‑19.00 with Sunday off duty. Initially, you may also be asked to cover some occasional night‑time hours; these additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The family values balanced development and would love their baby to reach key milestones through a mix of stimulating indoor activities—such as reading, crafts, singing, and imaginative play—and outdoor fun, including walks to the park and time in nature. As the baby grows, you’ll be encouraged to attend classes and activities to promote social interaction, always ensuring safety and happiness remain top priorities.
In addition to childcare, the role includes nursery duties such as managing the children’s laundry, tidying their bedrooms and play areas, and keeping shared areas (such as the kitchen) organised. A regular cleaner is employed to handle deep cleaning.
As the baby grows, you will also prepare healthy, nutritious meals, including batch cooking.
You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.
