Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – SEN College (Post-16)

Contract: Full-time / Part-time | Temp to Perm Opportunity

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a vibrant and dedicated team at a specialist SEN College in Erdington, supporting students aged 16 and over. This is a rewarding opportunity with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the Role:

You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs. Your role will involve:

* Supporting students in both classroom and community-based learning
* Assisting with personal care (if required)
* Encouraging independence and life skills development
* Promoting inclusion, engagement, and confidence

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Child and Adult Workforce Barred List, or willingness to apply for one
* A patient, flexible, and compassionate attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
