Job summary

A recruitment consultancy in Scotland is seeking a Systems Analyst/Programmer to join their team. The role involves analysis, design, development, and maintenance of core systems aimed at meeting regulatory objectives. Ideal candidates should possess software development experience, understanding of Agile methodologies, and knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Suite, DevOps, Python, and SQL Server. This is a fixed-term position until the end of 2027.

This role offers the opportunity to join the our clients' division as a Systems Analyst/Programmer. It combines analysis, design, and development with the maintenance of core systems, contributing directly to the delivery of regulatory objectives. This is a fixed-term temporary position, operating until the end of 2027.

Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Designing, developing, and implementing systems in line with project requirements.
  • Working with end users, business analysts, and project managers on specifications and options.
  • Supporting SharePoint and CRM upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining in-house systems and developing lifecycle documentation.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across IT to deliver robust solutions.
  • Staying current with emerging tools and platforms, such as Azure, Dynamics 365, and AI development tools.
  • Supporting the training and development of junior staff.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have software development experience and an understanding of Agile methodologies. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, DevOps, Python, UML, SQL Server, or Azure Services would be advantageous, as would experience with Dynamics 365 CRM or SharePoint development. They will demonstrate initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work with attention to detail.
