Job Description
Are you a people person with a passion for great service? Sodexo is looking for a dedicated Front of House Supervisor to join our team at Denison Barracks, Hermitage (RG18 9TP). In this customer-facing role, you’ll lead front‑of‑house operations across our bar and food outlets, ensuring a warm, professional experience for our Armed Forces personnel. What you’ll do
- Lead by example—ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, to a high standard, and with a positive team atmosphere.
- Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards across all front‑of‑house areas.
- Work closely with catering management and chefs to keep service running smoothly.
- Promote strong health and safety practices—identifying and reporting any potential hazards.
- Conduct regular safety walks to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Hold weekly team huddles to communicate updates, goals, and successes.
- Support and guide your team through ongoing feedback, coaching, and encouragement.
What you bring
- Experience in a similar role, ideally with catering or food service knowledge and some supervisory experience.
- Hospitality background (bar, hotel, restaurant) is highly beneficial.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence in leading, motivating, and supporting a team.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and respond well to change.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders.
